Yes, I'm a lurker (thanks for the sling info) and I'm so glad you mentioned that you only post the good stuff and that your house is dirty sometimes...I was beginning to dislike you a teensy bit. ;)
Right now I am living part of your dream...we have a farm in east louisville, a bunch of chickens, and all the dirt and fun that comes with having the line between indoors/outdoors blurred. So thanks to you for reminding me (on a particularly MUGGY day in an old house with no central air) that the things I take for granted today are the things I dreamed about yesterday.Amynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030761737597217504.post-31040928896674896002009-06-01T19:36:02.716-05:002009-06-01T19:36:02.716-05:00to become a mother!to become a mother!No.35stylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01977109024343722256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030761737597217504.post-35298039940250283662009-06-01T10:04:00.549-05:002009-06-01T10:04:00.549-05:00Hi Darby,

My folks would load up my two sisters and I and we'd camp out at the beach, even on Thanksgiving one year! Those are some of my favorite childhood memories, playing Go Fish around the little table while munching on candy cigarettes. (Can you believe they actually used to make those?) When we later moved to GA and over Christmas break we'd drive down the coast all the way to Key West and back. My parents survived and we thrived, so go for it!Rocky&SamsMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04994299973193103527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030761737597217504.post-11417265118822633602009-05-31T16:22:27.652-05:002009-05-31T16:22:27.652-05:00Wow Darby, you've received over 200 comments! I've looked through most of your renovation pics and love what you have done to your gorgeous house. You are VERY clever (love all your finds). I am a big dreamer!! I have a list which I posted on my blog and I came up with some ridiculous number of things. So I will post just a few (some more far-fetched than others, but dreams nonetheless)...Have a beach house in South Africa (where my husband is from). Write a book.
Create a line of organic bedding.
Pack up the family and live in Tuscany for a year. Would love to run a business with my husband too!
Have a great rest of your weekend! I will be posting again soon! :)katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15117339586681552103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030761737597217504.post-45940041719569339902009-05-30T18:54:34.956-05:002009-05-30T18:54:34.956-05:00Praise God I'm living my dream! (Unless they are from Utah)..We would love to have you stay in our driveway or wherever and have you guys over for a BBQ or to show you all the sights. Park City is really a great place to visit. We live right at the base of the mountains so Park City is only 15 minutes away. Utah really is beautiful. The National Parks in the southern part of the state are phenomenal. I love Arches especially. I think you would have a trip of a lifetime. As for my dreams, I hope to lose some weight and tour Europe every three years or so. I don't think anywhere in America is like Europe. They are both beautiful, in different ways. I have always wanted to tour Martha's Vineyard and Boston too. I really liked it when I visited Georgia and Alabama but it was SO humid! Is there a time of year where it is less humid than others? Also, what places would you recommend visiting in Alabama? I mainly only saw stuff in Georgia. :) Lisa and the crew from UtahAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030761737597217504.post-31586696056871871742009-05-30T07:42:53.736-05:002009-05-30T07:42:53.736-05:00Darby,

My dream is to sell my house and take the year to travel the world with my family. I've mentioned this to my self employed husband and I swear he broke out in hives just at the mention of it! Sometimes I dream of opening a restaurant, but my practical side keeps winning out. I would also like to own a different house in a variety of locations, I think mostly just so I could decorate them in all the different styles I love.Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10998855052141597763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030761737597217504.post-49710183784428795142009-05-29T19:12:53.051-05:002009-05-29T19:12:53.051-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Meredithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12154155083097839739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030761737597217504.post-88481980089320977282009-05-29T18:53:41.500-05:002009-05-29T18:53:41.500-05:00Darby,

I find inspiration in your pictures and the creative things you do with the kids and at home. I worked with Justins dad at OS and am married to the computer guy with the very long last name:) I think you know him,he worked on your laptop once or twice. Anyway as far as dreams I dream of a family reunion with my relatives that are scattered from Hawaii to Michigan. I havent seen some of them since I was a teen and as a proud mama I wish they could see my little boy. My dream, as simple as it may seem, is to be one of those great moms like Proverbs 31, where her children rise up and call her blessed. It is so easy for me to be idle, so I dream daily, of being a mom who sews, plays, scrapbooks, cooks, loves, is patient and kind even when I'm cranky... You get the picture.
