I'm still up to my eyeballs in laundry and tending to the house but I thought I'd take a second and check in! You all came up with some awesome questions for Marla! I can't wait to hear what advice she has to offer us.
I've decided {on this rainy day} to tackle the closets in my sewing room... but I'll be back soon with some pictures from Erika's baby shower!

ReplyDeleteDarby,
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for MANY months now. Discovered you on Abby's blog : ) You are so incredible as a mom, wife, and homemaker!! And you seem like such a humble young lady which makes us blog readers totally admire you!! I was in Dothan a few weeks ago, and Abby's dad felt like the highlight of my visit was to ride by Darby Stickler's home!! I told him I felt like I was in Hollywood going by one of the Hollywood Stars homes!!! I share your blog with so many friends because you just amaze me....as I also share Abby's because she is such an amazing writer as well as a special young lady : ) (hopefully she is writing a book!!) Thanks for all you give to those like ME who have ZERO talents! ( my gift was taxiing around kids after school...very blessed that I could do that! ) I look forward to every day reading your blogs : )

ReplyDeleteI only have time to read a handful of blogs - mainly house blogs right now, a few homeschooling blogs. But, I *love* reading your posts :) Very real life, yet very focused on the lovely side. That's nice.
Warmly,
Jacci
Hi! I'm totally new and was shown your blog today by a friend who has been reading it for months and never introduced herself (a sweet, friendly stalker.)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I wanted to say thanks for blogging! I have two girls (3 and 22 months) and a sweet boy (5 months) and my husband is talking me into renovating a house built in 1950. Its bathrooms are no where close to where your lovely ones started.
Anyway, I was close to tears about it and she showed me your blog. Thanks for the inspiration, candor, and real-life-ness. I'm sure I'll be checking back if we go through with this house. But, its great to see someone SO CLOSE to me, doing it successfully. I'm adding you to my google reader. I'm encouraged at just the right time. Blessings to you friend who I will never meet!

tell us about the artwork above his bed? love it!
ReplyDeleteLove that pic! Looking forward to the question/answer session.
ReplyDeleteDarby - I love your blog! (I think I've commented before) I noticed you made some changes to the information on the right side of the home page. It was around the part that mentions you don't sit around crafting and baking all day. ;) It looks like you extracted the part about how you do sometimes fail miserably at life. Something like that... It was comforting to read that knowing that even the best families are not always smiles and giggles. I loved how you included that before and just wanted to tell you. :) I hope that doesn't come across as weird! Again, love your blog!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! Your kids are precious and your ideas are genius!
ReplyDeletehey darby, loved your posts from vacation. what a blessing. I noticed the paci under the bed. that is where sam collects his. i also noticed no bumper on bed. Good move. My sam uses his bumper to climb or fall out of his bed. Anyway, his room is very cute. love the bunny prints. hannah
ReplyDeleteSo excited about this Q&A. I am new to the whole blogging world (reading of yours and keeping my own).
ReplyDeleteToday is the first day of getting on the computer since my return from the hospital.
One of the operations I had was a hysterectomy. I know I should not be sad as God has blessed my husband and I with four beautiful kids. But it's an odd feeling. To give me a new thing to play with while I recoup my family bought me a Cannon Rebel T1i. It takes short videos and has some great features I have no idea how to use!
What is an all around basic lense? Darby, what do you find you use MOST when photographing your kids?
I love your shots they seem so soft to me and that's why we copied you with the Rebel.
How do you carry your camera when out and about with the kids? The big bulky camera bag is another thing to tote with the diaper bag etc? I want to keep it close so I can capture the moments!
Thanks for your inspiration!
are you able to lower the crib at all? he seems too tall for it to be at that setting.
ReplyDeleteStunning, Fantastic its looks so astounding. Much obliged to you for sharing this article and keep doing awesome. exhibition carpets abu dhabi
