He's Been Promoted!

To celebrate his new "status" at the big kid table, I put John Bon Martin in his new Rockstar Stroller and took him for a stroll outside yesterday.

At first I just called him John Bon Martin and he wasn't sure if he liked it...

So I decided I would bust into Livin' On Prayer... "whoooa we're halfway there, livin' on a prayer..." He still wasn't sure.

"Take my hand- we'll make it I swear..." {can you tell at this point he's loving warming up to my rendition of Bon Jovi?}

And finally, he decided he LOVES my singing...

I was confident I made a Rockstar out of him, until I started the chorus all over again...

Next time, I'll try How Great Thou Art and refer to him as John Martin Luther, I think it will go over better.

    Everytime I see his picture I say, "He is the cutest kid ever!" I think mine are adorable but yours is so stinkin cute. Have a great weekend!

    I'm with John Martin....I'm not crazy about Bon Jovi either! haha...it wasn't your singing ...it was the song!

    Ha! Love it :) Somehow, whenever Sam and I are cranking out some DIY project late into the night, he winds up hollering out that song. Not like we listen to Bon Jovi regularly - not sure where it comes from.

    Congrats to JM on his upgraded seating!

    Hi Darby! I'm Ann. I went to AU (War Eagle!) and I was in interior design and remember Erika. Love your blog. Love your pictures. I have three kiddos as well-Ellie, Luke, and Andrew. It's a zoo, huh? Anyway, I noticed John Martin's big boy booster. We have the same one and during mealtime Luke used to always stick utensils, food, and whatever else down those holes in the seat. So...if you're missing something, check there!! :)

    Wow--he is getting so big, and he *SO* reminds me of Paige in that first picture, where he's laughing and enjoying your rendition of Bon Jovi :) Your children are gorgeous.
    I wanted to let you know,too, that I did pick up the "breakfast in bed" trays at Michael's the other week. I still need to get the paint pens, though, to write my girls' names on them :) Thanks again so much for the cool idea :)

    Ok, you are going to think i am totally nutso, but I'm driving down the street in a neighborhood the other day and it was Big Junk Pickup time. So as I'm driving, I spy a little green kids table at somebody's curb. I practically squealed the brakes and I got out to look at it, and the first thing that came to my mind was, "This looks just like Darby's little kids' table! Score!" And so I put it in the back of my car and drove away! And now that I look at these photos of your little ones at their table, it really does look exactly the same!
