Right now...
- my husband is reading the book I just finished
- my dog is happy & sleeping
- my children are happy & sleeping
- I am happy but not sleeping
- my coffee hasn't been made yet
So... I'm off to the kitchen to make my coffee for tomorrow morning. Then I'm off to bed. We were blessed with a wonderful weekend, if I had scripted it myself it wouldn't have been any better.
See you tomorrow...

I can't read the title of the book. Was it a good one? I'm lways on the look-out for the next good book to read!
Glad the weekend was good for you all!
you paint a beautiful picture, morning coffee included! i'm here in a very rainy tuscan coast drinking my own morning coffee and listening to my children play. Need to plan fun rainy day activities and fast!
Oh how wonderful for you and your family! Weekends that recharge steer us forward to the week ahead.
Sleep tight!
It's those quiet moments that are the best.
Enjoy your Monday.
what were your thoughts on the book?

Sounds like the way we end our evenings...one of the last steps is to program the coffee for the next day. Love it when the kids are sleeping and you can enjoy a good book. Have a great week!
I read "Same Kind of Different as Me". Loved it! I found it to be "simply profound" and so expressive of how our beautiful, complicated and yet uncomplicated our God is.
Looks like a wonderfully peaceful Sunday night, just as they should be.
I cherish times like these. Glad you had such a relaxing weekend.
How's round 3 coming along?
awesome book!
so glad you had a nice weekend! i'm reading that book right now too. I'm not even half way through yet, but am hooked. what other books are on your list?
Can you tell u s about the book? Thanks!
Hi! After your last request for comments I wrote this fabulous long post and then lost it when I tried to sign in! Anyways, I love your blog! I read it everyday at work and dream of having a life similar to yours! My future hubby and I are both southerners and are counting the days until we can make our escape back to (literally) greener pastures. We have both loved our times in new york, but now that we have found each other we are ready to settle down! Your children are so precious and your posts so inspiring! Every night I go home and tell Mark all about what I have read on your blog and how it has inspired me to think about our future!
Secondly, I am quite good friends with the Hall family - author of Same Kind of Different As Me. I am so glad you enjoyed it! It has touched so many lives and he is such an ispiration. I have personally spent time at the Union Gospel Mission (I am from Fort Worth) and it is a special place. They are getting ready to make a movie out of it which should hopefully bring an even larger audience.
I will try and post comments more often, I agree that I have not been holding up my end of the deal!
All the best,
Melissa
What a great book! I read it last year and then passed it on to Steve. He is not a big "reader" but says it is the best book he has ever read!
Darby, did you get my email about me buying some of your burp pads for baby gift? I sent it last week but I have not heard back from you. Kathie gave me you email. If you can't do it I understand. We have a lot of kids stores around here it is just that your things were personal and original. Please let me know at e mail ken1sandy1@aol.com. I won't be at this address until school starts in the fall again. Love auntie sandy
I am always so blessed and amused by your life. Thanks for sharing. There is nothing better than my hubby and I reading the same book. It's the best kind of book club.
Love reading your blog! I guess I have been a "blog stalker" to this point, but will make myself known now :) I saw your blog through ashley eiler's blog and follow each a few times a week! The funny thing is that I sort of figured out you went to Auburn and were a Chi O....so I showed your blog to my sister-in-law, Jenny Meals Fratesi (who was also a Chi O at Auburn), who confirmed those things! Anyway....I think she and my sister and my mom will now be blog "stalkers" too! Ha! Thanks for all the good recipes (I've used a few) and especially for the inspirations and tidbits that you send regarding the Lord....love all that! I am a mom of 3, from Hattiesburg, MS and hope to keep following your blog site! God bless you and your sweet family!
Isn't that the best...reading and sleeping and quiet? A precious commodity during the baby years. Sounds like ya'll are having a great summer! You should read "Under The Overpass" next. Excellent Christian book along the same lines as There Is No Me Without You.
Hey Darby,
I stumbled on your website from a friend...I was a Chi O at Auburn too. I saw Ann's picture from her baby shower and realized we know some of the same people. I also have twin boys and was telling Ann what info I know. What pledge class were you...I was '93.
I have enjoyed reading all the fun stuff you do.
Blessings,
Ashley
It really is the simple things isn't it? Glad to hear you had a great weekend!
