Miscellaneous Happenings 'Round Here!
It's a big day here on the ranch! My mom called me Wednesday night and wanted to know what I was doing this weekend! My heart skipped a beat... because I knew that meant she might be coming. We haven't seen my parents since July... yep, that's right, July! It's been a long time and I have been so excited about seeing them and them seeing the girls that I could hardly contain myself. Anyway, Mom's en route from IL with 2 big dogs, Dad (who's been on business in Bham) is flying in tonight and Erika and Chance (& 2 small dogs) should be here early evening. And I absolutely cannot wait! I'll have to report back with lots of pictures.
Ok, now for the pictures above. If you click on the one of Raiger you'll see some tears in her eyes. The child lives for that Pub Mix she's carrying around, and if you don't open it soon enough the tears will start pouring forth. We're getting low and I can't imagine what she'll do when it's all gone. Last night we had a rough night with her and when we woke up she just so happened to be in the bed with us.... oops. Anyway, I let her out of the bed and she made her way to the kitchen. Justin and I weren't quite ready to get up so we just let her wander about the house on her own. A few minutes later she walked in our bedroom carrying that giant tub of Pub Mix... where do these kids come from? I know before we had kids we didn't laugh as often as we do now... we certainly slept more though! The child had to open a pocket door and the pantry door to get to it... how could I say no to that?

The second picture is Morgan eating her boiled egg yesterday morning. There's no funny story behind it... well, there might have been but I've since forgotten if there was. I just figured if I put one of Paiger I better put one of Morgan too.
Stay tuned for details from our action packed weekend!

awww - your weekend sounds so perfect! enjoy it. and (on a completely different note)i STILL cannot get over how gorgeous your girls are.
SO excited to hear about all the McPherson mayhem that will no doubt ensue...
As for the upside down cake, you don't flip it. When it's done, the cake part will be on top and the bottom will be like a chocolate syrupy pudding. Maybe you're SUPPOSED to flip it but Mom just scooped it out and we ate it in little bowls! Oh it's SO good.
Your girls are beautiful!!! Have a great weekend!
Darby,
Please tell your parents hi from us! MY parents are flying in from KY tomorrow too! And my DAD has not seen us since MAY (my mom came in August), so I know exactly how you are feeling right now! Have a wonderful precious time! Tell Buddy hi from me!

Can I come join y'all for the weekend?? That sounds like a fantastic time! I had never heard of "Pub Mix" or seen it in such a container, but you may want to send little Paiger in for a commercial! She makes them seem very appetizing! Yummy! Have so much fun with your family (including your celebrity sister!)
Your sweet girls are so beautiful! I hope you are feeling well and getting a little more energy! I have enjoyed yours and Justin's comments on Abby's blog. I think it's awesome how you both are challenging people and their walks with Christ! Keep it up! You both show so much passion and it's amazing! People's lives are changed and challenged when we are bold and step out on faith to spur other's on! Keep posting and I'll keep reading. You should encourage Justin to do some posts on your blog...he explains things very well.
I am excited that your parents are going to get to see your adorable children (and new house) in person.
In NO WAY did Justin offend me at all. I really like the controversy going on between them. I just felt like I might should address my thoughts on the whole thing.
I saw your Christian fiction debate a few weeks ago and it cracked me up too. You are very right about all being entitled to our own opinions--that's what these blogs are for--I just felt so bad about bashing that girl's house on the world-wide web. Oh well, I did what I could.
Miss yall and thanks for all of your comments, I just LOVE hearing from you!
D- where are you? I'm ready to hear updates from the weekend!
