Recap in Pictures!
That's Paige, upset because I yelled at her for breaking a dozen eggs she found in the cooler on my Pottery Barn rug.
In all honesty, I'm surprised our neighbors didn't call the police because I was screaming so loud at my children. I was mad at Morgan for watching her do this and not telling me. With pumping adrenaline I moved all the furniture and drug the 8 x 10 rug to that new fence, hung it up and sprayed it off... and the rug pad too. Justin came home "mid-freak-out session" and rescued me... or maybe it was the children he rescued from me! :)
Once we got on the road and made our way to the lake we were all friends again. The weather was perfect and so was the water {except for the fact that there is something in it that I am allergic to and for the 5th time have broken out in a rash after swimming in it!}. Our friends Neal & Tami (& Judson) joined us for a laid back weekend full of a whole lot of nothing.

We took a boat ride & left Eufaby at the house. She wouldn't take any part of being alone so she swam out to the boat and joined us.
When I tell you the water is clear... I mean really, really clear! What on earth could be in it that makes me breakout all over!?
This was a cute dog on a cute boat with a man.
He said her name was Angel. Very fitting for a white dog.

Lucky Charms anyone? Theses 3 kids ate all the marshmallows and none of the cereal.
We had a great weekend and I even found time to do some sewing {more about that later!}. I think it may take me 3 or 4 days to recover from a quick getaway that was intended to be a "vacation".

yes, after potty training Karoline my Pottery Barn rug will never be the same again either! :) I feel your pain. Glad everyone had a good weekend after all...

I want to be! :) I'm glad y'all had a good weekend, and I completely understand needing a vacation to get over from a vacation, girl! Whew! I've had too many of those. You have to remember, you need rest for TWO! :)

I'm sorry about the eggs on your new pottery barn rug, but it is just stuff...try not to fret it too much. Paige probably thought she was just helping mommy "unpack" the cooler??? Well, she was a little early and perhaps a little clumsy...can't help her for wanting to be all domestic like mommy! If I were your baby, I'd want to be just like you, too!

I'm glad y'all had a great Memorial weekend. The lake looks so pretty! I haven't seen Judson since he was a baby, he's so cute and all grown up now. Your girls look as cute as ever! Hope the rug is okay: )!
Oh, eggs on the rug. That's a total deal-breaker for mom keeping her cool. Especially a 9 month pregnant mom who's packing up a family while juggling 2 tots.
Never-the-less the pictures are precious and I enjoyed seeing your fun time. It's funny how "get-a-ways" like that are filled with fun times like that yet really zap the energy after it's all done. But with those sweet faces, I know it was worth the work.

Wow!!! That lake has the clearest water. I thought it was a swimming pool until you explained that your lake was clear:) Your family is so precious!!! I know how you feel about the rug. One of my dogs threw up on my brand new sisal rug. NOT happy. Not their fault, but still not happy!!
I love the pictures! I can't believe how clear that lake is! It really does look like a pool. I am glad that your back safely and hopefully you can rest and recover this week!
