Who said mommies can't split wood in their jammies and build a roarin' good fire! Of course, I'd rather Justin take this role and responsibility... but in chilly desperation I've proved I can do it on my own. The children have shifted from our bedroom to the family room... who can blame them?

on second thought...maybe i will stop. that fire looks mighty cozy. it bet it would be better with hot chocolate and a whip cream mustache. see who can make the best one and post a pic of that!!
Mommies in jammies can do ANYTHING! We are like super heros. ;)
YAY for the 6 hours of sleep the other night!
That looks so nice on a day like this! I think we got the only house in Enterprise that doesn't have a fireplace :|
I know you are down south. I am now inspired to try to crank up my fireplace. We are at neg. 4degrees
We had our stove going all night. It was so cold here!! When I got home from MOPS it was almost out so I ran out and started hauling wood up, ours is now roaring and it won't be long before we are at least at 70 degrees in here...ahh...love it!
Don't you feel like a pioneer woman out bringing in the wood...I DO!!

Can I just snap my finger and come joing you guys by that beauty of a fire?
I'll help you chop wood!!! I'll even make you an afternoon cup of your favorite coffee in your French Press, since you taught me how to use it! ;)
Love you and those sweet babies and love that fire!!!
you go girl!
p.s. did you use an axe? really?
i am right there with ya. seeing as how hubby doesn't usually get home until close to 7 PM, i've had to get the fires blazing myself. out of wood today, much to my dismay:(. love the picture of the kids in the bed. peaceful and snuggly. that's how i like to envision my future too!

I would have loved that fire today, too! Congrats on the fire building. Do you get a badge of some sort on your mommy sash for that? :)
