A Few Minor Details

scrubadubdub

Wow! Y'all don't miss anything. I forgot a few minor details on the last few posts.... and since you all are so good to ask questions... here are my answers...

the stamped onesies: I used Soft fabric paint by Tulip {from Michael's} and it came in an assortment pack with 12 colors {just like that link shows}. I think it was around $4... but can't be for sure. Make sure you take your 50% off coupon with you! I also used an iron to "set" the paint after it was dry. Just a warm iron and let it sit on there for a few seconds. You should be able to wash and dry the onesies with no problems... but I can't attest to that because I haven't washed mine yet.

the blog move: You can breathe and sleep easy... there were no real life stalkers. Praise the Lord! And my husband had no qualms about our name being all over the blog but I've lost a few hours of sleep over it.... usually after I watch the news or check my blog stats. Anyway, I have been wanting to move to an address that didn't involve our last name so finally I bit the bullet. It was an easy change and I'm glad I did it. Fly Through My Window comes from one of my favorite songs by Elizabeth Mitchell:: Little Bird, Little Bird. {y'all listen to that link... it's a delightful song!}

the blog header: It was designed by yours truly with clip art I purchased online and edited. Seeing as how I'm rather limited with Paint being the most advanced software that I have to create in I had to solicit the help of Sister* who graciously obliged. She put the final touches on it in Photoshop and I am so grateful for her expertise because Paint makes me cuss all day long.

Did I miss anything? Ask away if I did.

*I call her Sister because she is my sister and that means she's required to help me with my blog header. However, she does have a full time job that does not involve creating blog headers... so on her behalf, I ask that you not email her and ask her to design a blog header. Was that too harsh? I hope not... y'all understand, right?

I just wanted to say hi! I have been reading your blog for a few months now (don't even remember how I found it)and have never left a comment. I really enjoy coming here, and love all the funny and insightful things you share (also love all the fun ideas). :) It is so refreshing to find other mothers out there whose desire is to serve and glorify the Lord.

God bless!

A sister in Christ,
Liz

Thanks for filling us in on the reason behind your move...I was worried we scared you with a bunch of stalkerish emails/comments.
Love that pic of Raiger! How is Morgan's eye? We need some chubby pics of JM!
BTW - What you said about Ericka not wanting to design everyone's header's was not harsh :) and LOL about paint making you want to cuss all day! You crack me up!!!

I figured that was why you moved the blog - same reason for me - I'm not a worrier by nature, but I figure better be safe than sorry. I still CANNOT believe I figured out how to do it ALL BY MYSELF - I'm really proud at this moment. LOVE the onesies - wish i had an inkling of your creativity.

Whatever the reason, I love the new header. It is so you! It is artfully detailed and very "now" in a historic sense.

Thank you. You failed to mention you are picky and that was Rev 10, but I won't hold it against you, because you are my sister... and soon I'll have some monogram needs or Taco dinner I'll cash in against that blog header credit.
Kiss the kids.

Just make sure you keep the other domain. My brother canceled his blogspot blog and it was turned into a not to nice blog. It too had his name in it. Now if you go to hisname.blogspot.com you can find all sorts of things that have nothing to do with him!

I love your blog! You and your family seem so sweet and although I am not a mom yet(maybe end of this year:) I enjoy the postings and pass them to my sister in Baton Rouge that has three kids as well!!! Ok, so now that I totally sound like a groupie/stalker, I have a questions for ya... one posting where you had your precious baby sitting on the floor while your husband sang to him, I noticed and loved the rug. I have been looking for one similiar to that and was wondering where you got yours. There has got to be some place in Houston that sells it!!
Thanks and have a good day!!!

I wondered if "fly through my window" came from Elizabeth Mitchell! We are big EM fans in my family. I have been enjoying your blog for a few months now and thank you for the daily laughs and insights. Your perspective is refreshing and always reminds me to thank God for every little minute of the day. :) Kelly

This is very late, but I see a few others asked you... where did you purchase the clipart for your header. Your sister did an awesome job, and your header has inspired me to do a new branding logo for a store I own. Thanks .. oh love your blog and crafty stuff..
