About those new strollers, I found them when Erika {btw her WATCH is a SWATCH and she talks about it here} and I ventured to the big city to set up her baby registries last weekend. I've been looking for a double stroller since Paige was born {almost 3 years ago} and while we were in Babies R Us a lightbulb went off and I remembered some kind of "connector contraption" to turn 2 singles into a double. I found a nice sales associate and asked him if they had any such contraption and he took me right to it. I was thrilled but wanted to make sure it worked, he graciously let me open the package and try it on two of these. I was sold. Occassionally the front two center wheels will bump but for the very LOW price I'd say it's worth it! I haven't tried to take it through any doors yet so I can't attest to it fitting-- I'll get back to you on that. But, if you're in the market for a double stroller and want to spend less than $75 this is a great option! The best part is if you only need to use a single they separate very easily.

I must go now, the porch is calling my name...

I found those connectors when my twins were babies-they are awesome! I already had the double front to back stroller & I was so sick of that huge thing!

I'll be looking for one of those stroller attachments ASAP. Are you using your 50mm fixed lens very much? I had thought about getting one, but wasn't sure if it would be what I wanted. Are you taking most of your picture with your standard lens?

I am loving the Brooke Shields doll! My aunt used to fix my hair like Brooke Shields when I was about 5 or 6. She loved fixing me up. I have the dark eyebrows to boot, so she always thought it was a fit. I wish I could find me one of those for my two girls! Loving it! By the way, my 5 year old is a thumb sucker and praise the LORD the bandaids worked last night on both thumbs!!! We prayed for Morgan to continue to resist the tempation to suck hers and I assured her that Morgan has also probably prayed that other little girls and boys will be able to resist the same tempation. It was a sweet moment. She was so proud this morning when she woke up and realized that she had done it! One night down, a thousand more to go!

So glad y'all are having a wonderful time!!
And your pictures are really beautiful. You are really a photographer!!

The Brooke Shields made me smile! We love yard sale toys at our house b/c I don't feel bad when the girls stop playing with them...I just recycle them at the Salvation Army. :)

My friend L has one of those stroller contraptions and she loves it! We have a Graco double, but it's pretty heavy. I only use it now for mall shopping. :)

Looks and sounds like yall are having a geat time. There is nothing like being with family. I have commented before about random stuff; I guess you could call me a stalker...I am from Troy and travel to Dothan often for doctor appointments. Both my boys were born at Flowers. Anyway, I had a question concerning the roman shade. I am trying to sew some for my son's nursery but I have a double window and didn't know if I should do one large one or two individual ones since I have one large blind? I would appreciate your opinion. You can email me at holly.pugh.qgjz@statefarm.com

Hi Darby,

I don't think I have ever posted before but I am an avid reader of both your and Erika's blog. I am a mother, a believer, and a design loving junkie.

I am working on a project for my sister's twins that are due in October. I don't sew so I am talking my mother into doing the actual sewing for me. I was wondering if I could solicit your help.

My idea is to create a prayer blanket for each baby. All of her friends and family are writing prayer for the children and then I am going to write them down with a permanent marker on a big sheet (the same size as the quilt) and have the sheet sewn into the quilt. You will not be able to see the prayers, as they will be sewn inside, but when the baby is wrapped in the blanket he (and she) will be wrapped in our prayers. I will also present my sister with a book with all of the prayers printed inside so that she can read them over and over and know he babies are prayed for.

Where I need help is on the sewing/creative side. Since I have never made a baby quilt before I am at a bit of a loss. I can go pick up a pattern at Joann's but I thought I would pick your brain to see if you have any creative ideas first!

Thanks, and keep sharing your precious life.

Sarah

This is from an old post, but would love to hear how you made your party favors (swedish fish). such a cute idea. i'm thinking little bags, stationary paper, staples and then glued some sort of sticker or what not for embellishment on front. I have two b-day parties coming up and would love to copy your idea!

I've been looking at that very same stroller. Same color and everything.I love that green! What a great idea with the attachment. I didn't know those existed. I only have once child so no reason to get one, but it's a great idea.

Your pictures are great. What mode do you shoot on the most? auto, AV, TV, or manual?

This time that you are having will be wonderful memories for years to come. The first thing that comes to mind, is that your family has a wonderful time together and what great times for your children! AWESOME! Love your blog - blog stalker :-)

I absolutely love your blog! I check in all the time to see what neat things you've posted. I'm from Huntsville and found you through a friend, that doesn't even know you but we love your style. Your pictures are just amazing!! I would love for you to do a tutorial on photo editing. You actually may not even do any editing, I don't know, but they are just beauitful! I have a lot of learning to do. My husband just bought me a Nikon D40 and I've found myself taking hundreds of pictures in no time at all. I have become obsessed with the photo world and I'm aching to learn! Best of luck to you and your beautiful family!

I love the Brooke Shields Glamour Center!! Oh how I long to have one of those again. Where did your mom find that? Will have to check ebay (although doesn't help much as I don't have a daughter to buy this for, need good excuse). Love the pics of the kids and the farm, what a gorgeous place to go to!
