Fun Fact...

Did you know that you can go to Sonic and BUY an 8 lb bag of their {super yummy} pellet ice for $1.68 (this may vary by location). We have 2 in our town and from what I've heard you can get a "cooler full" at one location for $1.80... I went to load up and was informed it's $1.68 for an 8 lb bag. Either way it's a lot of pellet ice and will make your freezer a much happier place! There's no better ice to crunch between your teeth... especially on a hot summer day and it's even better if you pour a tall glass of strawberry lemonade over it. This is my drink of choice this week... perhaps you should try it? I can pretty much offer you a satisfaction guaranteed.

Great to know - Sonic has the best ice (and philly foot long cheese steaks ~ when your preggers) ever!

Thanks for the info Darby! I have never heard about this but I will sure try it at the Sonic here. I love their ice. By the way - your posts on swim lessons convinced me to sigh Noah up. We are starting on Saturday. He seems to love the water but does not have any fear?! - Toni

I LOVE pellet ice. Apparently, the only thing my Mom could stomach the entire pregnancy with me was ice. She would take a cooler of crushed ice to work everyday. So...I came out of the womb lovin' ice. I used to get in trouble for chompin' ice from my Dad. Now that I'm on my own, I chomp away. I LURV it!!! I have been buying Sonic bags for years, especially for parties. The only better ice is from Chico's in Salem, IL. where I grew up. There used to be a Chico's in Mt. Carmel too. Ever been there??

that is so funny!!! I kept going to our sonic and asking for three large cups of ice. They finally informed me that they would sell it to me by the bag. It is now a staple on my grocery list. I am glad i am not the only one.

Chico's is unlike anything that I've ever had. The guy who owns it grew up in Mt. Caramel, had a restaurant there, moved to Salem and opened a restaurant there. It is cheap Mexican-American. Somewhere between a taco bell and a sit down place. Better than taco bell, and many of the menu items are concocted by employees and customers and they are named after that person. All homemade and so unique.

The closest Sonic to me is 120 miles away :( :( :(.... I call Sonic once a month begging them to bring one closer.

I love their ice, it is the best ice in the whole world.

The real horrid thing is that they advertise on TV ALL THE TIME and still have no plans of bringing us one. :SIGH: I might have to take a drive this weekend just for a Sonic fix and I am bringing a cooler with me to get some pellet ice.

It isn't like I live in the middle of nowhere either Grand Rapids, MI.

I want some Sonic Ice!!!

You are a funny girl! Strawberry Lemonade has been my drink of choice this past week also! It's so pretty to slice up a fresh lemon and 2 strawberries and float them on top of the pitcher! YUM!!
