This Dear Child!

It's quite confusing to me that someone who appears to be so angelic can turn into such a little trouble maker! It's been a rough week with the Raiger. First, it was the tooth paste... you can see from the pictures that this time she chose not only to eat it but rub it all over her entire body. Then it burned so she screamed bloody murder while I bathed her.

Yesterday it was the shampoo... all over the carpet in the playroom and all over her. And today, it was mommy's "outlast lipstick" that dries like paint on your lips... well, it dried like paint to her face... and it was all over her face. I simply cannot turn around with this one. I guess these are the type things that "middle children" do!? Well, she's wearin' me smack out.

We had a rough night last night too...

10:48 pm- Paige falls out of her bed (pushing the siderail all the way to the ground

between that time and the next episode I take about 3 potty breaks

2:00 am- Paige falls out of her bed again & Justin brings her to our bed

several more potty breaks

3:30 am- Morgan is coughing in her bed... I go in and offer water, she doesn't move

3:45 am- Morgan comes in our room and wants water now; gets water and walks into the wall in our bedroom OUCH! Lots of tears.

4:00 am- Morgan is back in her room and realizes Paige isn't in her bed... Morgan comes back in our room crying because she said she was scared to sleep by herself... Morgan enters our bed. {That makes a 30 year old, a 3 year old, a 23 month old, and a 37 week pregnant Mama all in one bed!}

4:30 am- I get a KILLER leg cramp in my right calf jump out of bed and stretch while screaming "No, no, no!"

5:30 am- After laying in bed for an hour in a total state of "discomfort" I decide I'll just get up.

With that said, my morning started with a cup of coffee and chased it with a diet coke!

So... no sleep + coffee + diet coke + a trip to Target w/ both children {did I mention it's 97 degrees outside} before going to the OB= high blood pressure at my 12:15 appointment! Argh!

So, 3 hours later they let me go home, only after taking it numerous times, telling me we're getting closer to having a baby {which that statement alone would make my blood pressure go up}, and doing a non-stress test on the baby {which the baby looks great!}. Now, I go again on Tuesday and Thursday of next week. My OB told me she thought we were pretty close to having a baby... but her preference is a c-section, which isn't necessarily mine but I trust her and her "medical expertise"... now, if she can just give me a couple more weeks to finish some things up before she insists on doing it! I think we'll have another ultrasound next week... and I'll certainly hold off on the coffee, diet coke, and trip to Target before my appointment.

Hope y'all all have a wonderful weekend! I'll leave you with some pictures of the girls before Mother's Morning Out this week...

I'm sorry, but all of those stories are hilarious! Do you know what brand the crab fabric is, or where you purchased it. It is adorable, as well as the outfits and the models. Hope you get some rest this weekend.

I hated those leg cramps in the middle of the night too!!! I can only picture you last night with all of the drama! I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes! I guess I am glad to know this stuff happens to others too! Take care and hope things run smoothly until the little guy arrives!!

Oh, Darby. That last month is rough, especially with pregnancy number 3. My older two were ages 2 1/2 and almost 4 when I was prego with my number 3. Toward the end I remember feeling very impatient [and guilty] with my little tikes. By pregnancy number 4, I had a 3 year old, 5 year old and 6 month old...whew now that was tiring. My biggest mistake? Not resting when I could.

You have been so strong and doing so much on this pregnancy, from what I've read on your blog. Be sure to get some rest when you can. It will make a big difference for you.

Those children are precious and you're an amazing mom.

My "middle" daughter was just like Paige. I remember having to call poison control when she drank half a bottle of liquid tylenol while I was cooking dinner [and pregnant with number 3]. I could never turn my head with her. She was, and still is, my busiest child. Sounds like Paige will be too. The good news is they end up being super-hero-helpers as they get older. You just watch!

Here is another "stranger" putting her two cents in......I feel your pain about the being preggers and having kids in the bed......I am 30weeks, we have two boys....a 5 and a 4 and somehow by about 1 am they end up in our bed. This morning at 2, I decided I'd had enough so I moved to the guest room, turned the fan on high......and ahhhhh BLISS!! Hope that you can at least get a few good nights in before the big man comes! (Ours in a girl, so we are your opposites, two boys and a girl) I enjoy your blog by the way and have also turned my crafty sister-in-law onto it. We go there to her baby shower next weekend and she has already bought the materials to try our hands at your crafty sling (she is due the week before me!!) Wish us luck!! ~Leslie

Darby, We are certainly praying for a safe and healthy delivery this time for you and the baby. I'm praying that your doctors are totally in tune with your body and the baby inside and that God (whether they know Him or not) will enable them to make sound decisions. Now, as for the girls' craziness, I can't even imagine - I'm get flustered with just one most of the time well-mannered almost 3 year old who hasn't even attempted such things as cutting her hair. Our latest was bubble bath on her and the bathroom floor- not quite as bad as carpet! Love ya girl!

There must be something in the air - last week Ava smeared vanilla pudding all over her body, but that's way easier to clean up than a whole jar of coco-butter, which is what Lily did when she was that age.

Darby, I am one of those random blog readers. I found yours through a friend of a friends. I absolutely love reading it and try to find time daily. Your family is precious. I love sharing your talented sewing skills as well as your remodling skills with my sister. I am from a family of 5 girls so I understand the craziness that can go on with them. It is always entertaining! I have a 17 month old little boy and am expecting another boy in August. We are from Troy so we aren't far from Dothan. My OB and pediatricain are there. I feel your pain with the leg cramps. They are definitely no fun. Anyway, I have been meaning to comment on your blog since I started reading it and just haven't done it. Hope the C-section holds off.
