Day 19:: Zip It Up

bag1

I have feared a zipper for far too long. I came across this lovely little tutorial and thought, "I think I can do that!" If you too suffer from "zipper fear" fear no more. Follow her steps and you'll have yourself a little zipper bag in no time flat! This little one was whipped up just in time to wrap it up for my sister-in-law's birthday gathering last night.

I love it! I'm definately going to try this tutorial. What cute gifts! And the possibilities are endless as far as fabrics and things you can fill it with. Thanks for finding the tutorial and trying it out.

To all of you who are loving that bag- it is wonderful! She did a great job and I love it!!! I was thrilled to be her first try on a zipper. I only wish my first try's turned out half as cute as Darbys! Thanks Darby- it really is great!! Can you make matching luggage? Ha- just kidding!

Perhaps, I fear the sewing machine too much. I have an Elna. Can you help me?

I'm so glad you posted this! I love your blog and was just trying to talk myself into attempting a zipper. This tutorial will really help. I'm a novice seamstress for sure.
