Rain, Rain...
Go Away,
Darby & her family want to play!!
I'm trying to stay positive in spite of torrential downpours and overcast skies. I unfortunately put my trust in a weather man who fore casted "Mostly Sunny Skies" for today. Despite some rather nasty weather all weekend, I am thoroughly enjoying my time with my parents, cousin and grandmother. My cousin flew in from Chicago on Thursday; the rest came in on Friday. It's so much fun to be with them! I just had some high expectations for some pool & patio time rather than sofa time. Apparently, I forgot:
expectations - reality = disappointment
"Cousin" (which is actually what I call her) and I did have a wonderful time at Kohl's yesterday. I've learned that these latest fashion trends of longer shirts are very useful to a bulging belly. And I'm almost certain there isn't anything in the "junior" department at Kohl's over $14. Justin's parents joined us for dinner last night and we had a great time. Erika and Chance are on their way here now and we should have an eventful afternoon... in spite of all the clouds and gloom!

Because pictures make a post so much more fun, I'll leave you with this. The Raiger was busted eating paint. Morgan, being the little helper that she is, decided she'd clean her up.

I'm glad your family came to visit. I'm sure y'all had a wonderful time. I completely understand about the gloomy weather, imagine 5 months of it, and anywhere from the teens to twenties outside, and SNOW! YUCK! I'm so ready for color, chirping birds, green leaves and grass, the smell of grass, and people with smiles on their faces: )!! I'm hoping it will be here soon. Morgan is such a good helper and they seem like the best of friends.
classic...Morgan with no clothes on! Love you and your familia!
:-)
I hope the paint was non-toxic! Why do kids like to eat stuff like that? :)
i hope you took pictures of the family to share!!
I did a post in honor of you today, dear Darby! :)
I'm with you on this weather. I've forgotten what the sun looked and felt like. Have fun with Erika!
Eating paint...hmm, my 2 year old better not see today's post.
Okay, so I am stalking your blog I found through the Roney's blog, but just was so excited that your name is Darby.
My daughter's name is Darby and I have never met another one.
I am with you on the weather - in NC it's about the same. Rain, rain & more rain.
We just happen to go to a horse race in the downpour - smart I know. I think my feet are now webbed. Feel free to stop by for a visit & check out the pictures.
Hope you're having a dry day!
Darby, I hope the weather cleared for you all. I am sure you enjoyed having your family around regardless!
Hey how's the Tastebook coming along?
So funny! My Abby likes to eat crazy things too, when we're not looking. I hope the rain moves on so y'all can get some fresh air!
